About Alyssa: A biracial Filipino-American designer, illustrator, and muralist based in San Jose. Known for her whimsical hand-lettering, floral illustrations, and “organized-chaos” style, Alyssa’s art process merges analog and digital mediums to create truly unique and dynamic work, usually incorporating hand-lettered words mixed with visual elements of nature, organic shapes, and magic.
About Local Color: Established in 2015, Local Color is a small, but mighty 501(c)3 rooted in San José, California. “Our mission is to build equitable pathways for creatives to thrive!”
