San José Half Marathon Brand

You're at the Epicenter.

In 2026 Run Local® launched a new logo for the San José Half Marathon designed by San José native, Blake Dadson.

The logo celebrates the rhythms, resources and power of the region. A region where diverse cultures thrive and create together. For millennia, this valley has been home to people who built the conditions that make movements possible: persistence, resistance & innovation.

From this valley, the future shifts and ripples to the four corners of the earth.

We honor this legacy with every stride through the streets of San José, tracing paths carved by indigenous peoples, immigrants, activists, innovators, and dreamers from every background who understood that real change doesn’t come from announcements—it comes from showing up and doing the work.

This isn’t just a race. It’s a run along the fault line of what’s next.

This is where movements begin. This is where you run.

DID YOU KNOW?

San Jose was Low Rider culture’s media and social epicenter taking it from a regional practice to an internationally recognized movement thanks to zines such as Low Rider magazine. Founded by San Jose State University students Sonny Madrid, Larry Gonzalez, and David Nunez, the magazine turned lowriding into a “cultural rebellion,” documenting Chicano history, art, and politics alongside customized cars.

New Brand. Same running party you love! Join us on Sunday, May 31 at Santana Row for the next evolution of the San José Half Marathon!
