Event Art & Merchandise

Since the inaugural 408K in 2012, Run Local has worked with local artists to capture the spirit of San José and produce unique pieces for our community to enjoy.

This year’s unique artwork is designed by local artist Lancing Love Chen in collaboration with San Jose based Arts Non-Profit Local Color

2025 San Jose Half & 8K medal

“When I look at the foothills I immediately think of San Jose, but also thought it’d be fun to convey San Jose’s diversity through classic characters and thought of the tortoise and the hare, plus a character to represent the strength of pararacers. I also tried to harness the energy of drawing characters and how much fun I had doing so as a child. This medal’s like a love letter to my hometown and the memories it continues to give me!”

Meet Lancing: A talented tattoo artist and illustrator from our hometown San José, California! Lancing’s dynamic, animated style is inspired by nature, music, and the vibrant diversity of San José. As a lifelong local, she is pouring her passion for this city into this year’s medal & shirt design.
